RHYTHM WORLD is the oldest and most comprehensive festival of American tap and contemporary percussive arts in the world. RHYTHM WORLD features an extraordinary master faculty of 24 teachers and two weeks of performance, education and community outreach programs including free public performances at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park, tap jams at the Chicago Cultural Center's Claudia Cassidy Theater, student showcases, panel discussions and extraordinary faculty concerts at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago. |

| Falling on May 25 every year, National Tap Dance Day is a celebration of tap dance as an American and worldwide art form. National Tap Dance Day can be celebrated with an event which may be organized by a studio, festival, professional company or tap dance interest group. Written and inspired from the entire span of music from The Beatles, the show is a winding road full of whimsical costumes, characters, classical choreography. |

June 7th - July 9th Grebel Dance summer ballet intensives offer exciting insights into the Vaganova method of classical ballet that is fun and energizing! Summer Intensives are for intermediate to advanced ballet students, ages 12 & up on pointe. |
June 7th - June 19th AYB in Huntsville will host a Ballet Intensive by former Kirov Ballet soloist Luba Gulyaeva. Ms. Gulyaeva graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy and was brought to America by Baryshnikov to teach at ABT. |

South Arts with support from the National Endowment for the Arts will offer a limited number of professional development travel subsidies for non-profit presenting arts organizations in our nine-state region to attend the 2010 Performing Arts Exchange (PAE), September 29 - October 2, 2010 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This program will provide financial support for conference expenses. Applications must be RECEIVED by Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Review the Guidelines. |
