October 30-November 1: Troy University Department of Theatre and Dance presents "Phoenix Rising: Fall Dance Show" on October 30-November 1, 7:30 pm, at the Trojan Center for Performing Arts in Troy, AL. Phoenix Rising, dedicated to all victims of private violence, offers the audience a variety of dance styles, from ballet to hip hop, choreographed by the upper class dance majors. Tickets are $10.

October 30-November 2: Alabama Dance Theatre presents "Dracula, A Ballet To Die For" on October 30th and November 1 at 7:30 pm, and on November 2 at 2:30 pm. Performances are at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Sink your teeth into this thrilling vampire drama back by popular demand!

November 1: Alabama Dance Theatre presents "Mistletoe," a Montgomery holiday tradition featuring “Favorite Dances of Christmas” for one performance only! Saturday, November 1, at 2:30 pm. Following the performance, children will have an opportunity to meet dancers and take photos.

November 3: Presented in only four American cities on an American tour debut, Arabesque, Vietnam's independent contemporary dance company, brings their signature combination of peerless modern ballet techniques and an exploration of the nuances of Vietnamese life. The company will perform their original piece "The Mist," featuring seven dancers who conjure agrarian cycles and rural rituals to merge realism with symbolic movement. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for those who love acrobatic and dance performances. Co-presented by the Wright Center and Alabama Asian Cultures Foundation, Nov. 3, 8 pm.

November 4-7: A campus favorite, Dance Alabama! returns to the stage this fall presented by the University of Alabama Department of Theatre and Dance. Students choreograph, cast, rehearse and design their pieces in hopes to be chosen by the Dance faculty through a rigorous audition process. The concert features approximately 25 pieces produced entirely by students. Performances are November 4-6, 7:30 pm, and November 7, 5:30 pm, Morgan Auditorium, Morgan Hall in Tuscaloosa.

November 12-16: The Alabama State University College of Visual and Performing Arts will host a performance by its new dance company on Nov. 12-16 at the Lelia Barlow Theatre. The performance, “First Steps,” is the inaugural concert of the new BFA/Dance Program. Performances will be held at 7 pm nightly. A 3 pm matinee will take place on Sunday, Nov. 16. $12 General (for all shows), $8 student (for all shows), $25 Gala Price (Saturday, November 15, 2014). November 14-16: Sanspointe Dance Company announces new dance, music and video created by local and national artists in their upcoming concert entitled, "Trip the Light." The company has invited Eric Yow of the Orlando-based troupe Yow Dance and Lynda White from Denver to set repertory pieces on them and Linze McRae from the Downtown Dance Conservatory in Gadsden to collaborate with Artistic Director Taryn Packheiser Brown, on a dance for the camera media project. Rounding out the performance are new dances by company members Sara Turney, Chelsea Henderson and Brown. Music Director, Justin Wallace, will premier two audio compositions. Tickets for the concert are $15 and can be purchased at here.

November 21-23: Public Radio WBHM 90.3 & Alabama School of Fine Arts present "Soul of November" choreographed by Todd Rosenlieb on November 21-22 at 7:30 pm and November 23 at 2:30 pm.
