Help us Advocate for the Arts! We need your stories!
The 23rd annual Arts Advocacy Day is the only national event that
brings together a broad cross-section of America's cultural and civic
organizations, along with hundreds of grassroots advocates from across
the country, to underscore the importance of developing strong public
policies and appropriating increased public funding for the arts. The Alabama Dance Council is a Grassroots Partner! We will be
meeting with staff from the offices of Senator Shelby, Senator Sessions, Congressman Davis, Congressman Bonner, Congressman Bachus, & Congressman Bright on
Tuesday, April 13th. If you have always wanted to share your story with your legislator now's your chance. Email us your story, and we will deliver it in person! Or register now to join us on Capitol Hill!

New Book Release from
Author Diana F.
Green
Diana F.
Green, Arts in Education
Program Manager at the Alabama State Council on the Arts
announces the release of "Choreographing from Within." This
book is designed particularly for college students, but
includes language easy
enough to follow for any age level.
Instructors, who wish to begin offering a creative element
to their
classes, will find dialogue to guide their students into
moments of discovery,
which may be used with any technique. Nurture the creativity
in your students
early, and watch the excitement build in their dancing
onstage and off.
