Preview WEPAN Knowledge Center Resources!

WEPAN's new digital Knowledge Center is a WIE community-wide effort to:

  • Pool our collective knowledge about resources on women in engineering.
  • Make resources more highly visible and accessible to all who need the information.

This community-generated tool will launch with 600+ resources. Your participation in adding resources will make sure your colleagues who are committed to success of women in engineering can find the information they need.

The Center will become available for use at the end of April. Watch your e-mail for notification the day we launch! In the meantime, take a look at the resource overview below to see what awaits you.

The Knowledge Center contains descriptions or annotations on a wide variety of formal and informal information sources:

Books... Journal Articles... Bibliographies... Conference Proceedings... Reports... Organizations... Programs... and more, as well as links for accessing them.

Some resources are available free of charge on the Web and are only one click away. Others contain links that will take you to purchase information or to the point of purchase.

A World of Information at Your Fingertips...

Locate information with the drill-down menu (left) or find what you need with easy-to-use Search and Advanced Search capabilities.

35+ topical keywords just one click down in the menu will generate lists of resources you can browse or narrow down further with a search.

Identify Widely Used Resources at a Glance...

The Knowledge Cloud (right) tracks usage and displays popular words and phrases in use across the site. Increasing popularity is demonstrated by increasing word size. You can click on a term to get a searchable list of resources.

What People Are Saying About The New Knowledge Center...

"The Browse Resources menu is fantastic. It's easy to find articles and publications in almost any category you can think of related to women in engineering - from recruitment and hiring to assessment and work-life balance."

Barbara Bogue, College of Engineering, Penn State University
