You've probably heard by now about the Rainier Valley Rowing Benefit Breakfast on Friday, February 26. If you haven't yet RSVPed to your table captain, please make sure to do so soon!

Don't have a table captain? Don't worry! There is a seat waiting for you at the event - just e-mail carla@rainiervalleyrowing.org or buy your ticket on our website today!

The program lineup includes:

Dr. Jim Antony, University of Washington Associate Professor of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies. Dr. Antony will be speaking about youth development through sports and the importance of sports in teaching lessons and values that transfer to all areas of life.

Dr. Jabali Stewart, Lakeside School LEEP Coordinator. Dr. Stewart will be talking about the essential part rowing plays in teaching teamwork at LEEP as well as his own experiences in the sport.

Karla Landis, RVR Program Director. Karla will reflect on the significance of RVR in our community.

RVR athletes speaking about why they love rowing and the difference it makes in their lives!

  From the Coach's Launch... 

 

  Spring Rowing!

 

An unseasonably warm January and a little sun peering out made for a promising start to the 2010 Spring Rowing Season at Mt. Baker Rowing and Sailing Center. The team was on land the first day but everyone is ready to get back on the water!

Almost all of the RVR athletes are back for spring rowing and we've added an additional new RVR face since then! More information on regattas and other spring events coming soon....

Thanks to members of the Pocock Rowing Center, Green Lake Crew, and Mt Baker Crew who donated clothing to help keep RVR rowers warm and dry as they brave the season. We appreciate it!
