Give the Gift of Rowing!
In this issue:
The Athletes' Perspective
How'd the fall go? Who better than RVR athletes to answer that question. Here's what they told us:
My favorite part of rowing was....
"The people - athletes, staff, everyone. I made some pretty good friends."
"Being on the water"
"Learning a new sport"
Rowing has taught me...
"What it's like being part of a team - I have never been on a team before"
"Sometimes I just need to work harder, even if I don't get it. I just keep trying, and don't give up even if something is hard"
"How to push hard and not give up"
And what would these athletes tell someone who wants to row?
"Try it for a week 'cause after a week you'll just love it and want to come back!"

Give the Gift of Rowing this Holiday Season
Still
looking for a gift for the rower or rowing fan in your life? Want to
give them something they will value but avoid the Black Friday madness?
Rainier Valley Rowing would like to encourage you to GIVE THE GIFT OF ROWING this holiday season.
Your tax-deductible contribution to RVR in someone's name will provide a chance for a teen who would not otherwise row to push their limits, expand their opportunities, and become a healthy and engaged member of their community. And your gift recipient will receive a personalized card and photo from RVR in recognition of the work their contribution is doing.
Give a teen a uniform, swimming lessons, coaching and mentorship, or even a whole season of rowing. To take advantage of this opportunity, please visit our giving portal. There you will find a simple donation form that allows you to choose the size of your gift, designate the recipient, and have us take care of the rest!
Thank you for your continued support in this holiday season and for sharing this opportunity with friends, family, and the South Seattle teens who, with your help, will grow and thrive in this great sport!
