A NOTE FROM ANN |
 |
Welcome to our first monthly newsletter.
With our “family” now around the globe an online communiqué allows us stay in touch. Every month you will meet some of our alumni, receive advance notice about events, and take advantage of special offers!
We have new projects in the works and in the coming months we will introduce an “Alumni Only” newsletter, expanded professional development opportunities for opera singers--at all phases in their careers--and 25th Anniversary events.
SO STAY TUNED!!!
Ann Baltz, Founder and Artistic Director |

The Emerging Artist and the Advanced Artist Programs both involved intensive training with a faculty of exceptional professionals, to prepare each singer musically, dramatically, physically, mentally and emotionally for the rigors of a career on the stage. Each program culminated with two performances of original works:

FROM A RECENT ALUM
“...[OperaWorks] was life changing, and has forever changed the way I view being an Artist… your team of faculty replaced the idea that we have to be something we are not, and instead through the loving and safe environment, taught us that who we are as artists--our personality, the choices we make--are not only good enough, but are 100% more real, interesting and exciting than trying to be something we are not.” -Austin Thompson (2010) |

Valerie Neumark has been working with OperaWorks for the last year implementing the redesign of the OperaWorks branding, website and print materials. Gergana Dimitrova leaves our staff after an eight year association with OperaWorks. She began as a volunteer at the concessions table, was hired in 2004 as Assistant Administrator and, in 2009 at the age of 19, became the Programs Administrator. She is moving to the East Coast where she will attend the University of North Carolina. She has been an invaluable member of our staff and we will miss her. |
