Interested participant candidates are encouraged to attend one of the following JMEC 16 information sessions:

- Wednesday, October 7th, 7:30pm - 9:00pm, American Chamber of Commerce in Japan
- Thursday, October 15th, 7:30 - 9:00pm, Temple University Japan Campus, Mita Hall room 503
- Tuesday, October 20th, 8:15 - 9:15am*, Temple University Japan Campus, Azabu Hall, room 212 *Please note, this is a morning session.

JMEC Wine and Tapas Party on October 6, 2009
The Japan Market Expansion Competition invites you to join a Wine and Tapas party on Tuesday, October 6, 7:00 - 10:00pm at The Pink Cow. On the menu will be a great selection of wines from Orca International, as well as an assortment of yummy food specially created by Chef Andy. The entrance fee of 5,000 yen includes food, drink and a chance at the door prize drawing. This will be an excellent opportunity to network, so bring plenty of meishi! JMEC Alumni Success Story
Sunil Kulkarni never had to deal with marketing, sales, accounting issues or general business processes until he participated in JMEC in 2000. Life has not been the same since.
An IT engineer by education and profession, Sunil saw himself at a turning point at the age of 30, deciding it was time "to do what he really wanted to do". Looking for an opportunity to learn about business while continuing work, he came across JMEC and decided to join. Inspired by the lectures, lecturers and global participant pool, he discovered an encouraging environment that woke and supported his newly found entrepreneurial spirit.
