Dear Friends,
Welcome to this first issue of The Deconstructive Theatre Project's monthly e-newsletter. As we move full-steam into 2009, I can not help but reflect on our humble beginnings. Exactly three years ago, an extraordinarily talented and bravely inquisitive group of my fellow undergraduates at Emerson College came together to create our first production, simultaneously igniting within me renewed confidence in the vibrant, democratic, and transformative act of creating theatre as a collective. We have come an exciting distance within a short time, and have many more exciting plans for our future. I would like to extend my most humble gratitude for the supportive role each of you has carved out for yourself in the growth of this company. I hope you will enjoy hearing about our activities and remain with us as we continue to create performance that is intensely collaborative, uniquely theatrical, and inspired by our communities. Fondly, Adam J. Thompson Founding Producing Artistic Director |

Toward Development of New Work
The
Deconstructive Theatre Project's second annual benefit event, a starry
environmental staged reading of Michel Marc Bouchard's Lilies, or The Revival of a Romantic Drama

express our deepest gratitude to everyone who was able to come out and
support us.
Our marvelous cast included Chad Brigockas, Arnie Burton, Colman Domingo, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Brian O'Neill, Matthew Nasser, Marcus Neville, Vince Rimoldi and Saum Eskandani, Jason Michael Miller, Matt Mager, & Matthew Skrincosky. DTP in Residence at The Center for Performance Research
The Deconstructive Theatre Project is currently developing a new ensemble project at the freshly inaugurated Center for Performance Research (CPR) in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Founded by Jonah Bokaer/Chez Bushwick and John Jasperse/Thin Man Dance, the Center for Performance Research will be home to company members Drew Larimore, Jennifer Dees, Gabe Levey, and Artistic Director Adam J. Thompson in the months of March and April, as they begin developing an original living image inspired by photographs of Cold War-era atomic bomb testing in the American West.
Learn more and share in our creative process via The Deconstructive Theatre Project's newly-launched Community Engagement Blog.
