Volunteer/Donor/Homeowner Appreciation 

You should have already received an invitation to the Block Party, but if you haven't, please consider this your invitation!  The Appreciation Block Party will be held at Doby Court in Hillsdale, a street of Habitat homes, on April 25 from 11 am until 2 pm. There will be food, music, activities for every member of the family, and information about future volunteer opportunities! RSVP Here!

Weekly ReStore Specials! 

The weekly ReStore Special will be all doors at 20% off starting Wednesday 22nd thru Saturday 25th.  Come to the ReStore during those days for your discount!  Weekly or Semi-Weekly specials are a new thing for the ReStore.  Keep checking your email for future sales!  You can also donate to the ReStore if you have items you no longer need but are still in working order.  Call Lois at 662-1121 for more information on donating to the ReStore. 

National Women Build Week

Come out and help us celebrate National Women Build Week!  We have volunteer opportunities available May 5 - 9 at various sites across Mobile County.  If your business or church would like to help us celebrate Women Build Week, call Jennifer at 251-476-7171 now and sign up!

Family Partners Needed

We are trying to reach even more families in need of safe, decent, affordable housing to see if they qualify for our program.  If you know of someone who may benefit from our program, please let them know about our orientation sessions coming up in March and April.  Attendance at an orientation is manditory, so the sooner prospective homeowners attend, the sooner they can get the application process going.  More information on the orientation process can be found here.

Volunteers Needed!

At Habitat for Humanity, the volunteers make all the difference!  We often see a drop-off of volunteers over the summer months, but this is not good for the program.  We need to keep building so that families can get into their new homes!  If you can give us a day or half a day during the summer, we would appreciate it so much!  More importantly, the family you build alongside will appreciate it, especially when they move into their new home.  We need 100 volunteers per day, every day!  In May, we will start a build schedule of Tuesday - Saturday, 8 am - 4 pm with an hour for lunch in the middle.  Sign up for a week, a day, or half a day - whatever you can give will be wonderful!  Call Jennifer at 251-476-7171 for more info or to sign up!
