EA and SOA: Integrating Services, Governance and Strategy
By Anders Østergaard Jensen, Consultant, Leonardo Consulting
Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Service
Oriented Architecture (SOA) ultimately seek to provide better business value
and thus increased profitability through a holistic and integrated approach to
management and technology investments. The proposed idea is to view and design
the enterprise architecture as composed of enterprise service building blocks. Integrating
EA and SOA can lead to a increased service reuse and improved control of
corporate IT spend and assets.

Why would you not attend when people say this?
Dont miss out on the Sharp Points Downunder Tour this August!
|
"Can
you
get Alec back to teach other courses? I got more out of his
2-day
course than a lot of the training I have taken over my
career"
"The
examples and the content was great, the presenter explained well,
there was allowance of conversation and questions." |
"Excellent!!!!
I think that all SAs would benefit from taking this course. I would have
no problem saying that this is one of the best training courses that I have
attended. The information was pertinent and applicable (that doesn't
happen often) to what we are trying to accomplish in our daily tasks."
"I think
all the topics that were covered were great. This course should be a
must for all new SAs and existing SAs that have not taken it. I wish
that I had this course years ago. The instructor himself was
awesome. Very unique style of teaching. Very engaging."
Alec Sharp will be running his hugely popular Requirements Modelling Course in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne.

Operational Leadership by Andrew Spanyi
Due for release this July
|
Customers are
increasingly demanding higher levels of speed and quality,
yet leaders often focus mainly on reducing the costs of operations.
Confronted by current and anticipated business challenges, incremental
improvements to operations, while still important, will no longer be
sufficient to gain advantage.
This book outlines the needed evolution in
leadership attitudes and behaviors in the key operational areas such as
new product development, sales, operations, customer service, human
resources, finance, and information technology. It relies on concepts
introduced by Dr. G. Rummler & Alan Brache, Dr. Tom Davenport, and
Dr. Michael Hammer.
