| We are all Poor... |
|
Bryant Myers in his book, Walking with the Poor, says "Poverty is a result of relationships
that do not work, that are not just, that are not for life, that are not
harmonious or enjoyable. Poverty is the absence of shalom in all its meanings."
We want to know what you think about this idea of
poverty. Click here to let us

Dear Daniel,
This has been an exciting time for the families and the future of The Restoration House. We are itching to share details with you about our growth plans and will be looking to do that very soon. In the meantime please celebrate with us through all everything in this edition of The Restoration Monthly.
This past weekend The Restoration House welcomed Ashley and her
beautiful two year old daughter, Naveah into their new home. This move happened quicker than planned, due to
some extenuating circumstances. We don't
always understand God's timing but trust it even in this situation. Please pray for us as we put the final
touches on their mentor team and begin our amazing journey of restoration with
this family. If you would like to join
us as a regular prayer partner please click here
and let us know.
The TRH Board of Directors had a two day retreat last
weekend to do some strategic planning regarding the future growth of The
Restoration House. It was a fantastic
time to reemphasize our vision while celebrating all the doors God has open in
such a short time. Our board is an
extremely gifted group of people who continue to give of themselves in ever
increasing ways to help make God's vision of restoring single mothers and their
children a reality.
We can't thank Ken and Linda Piety enough for opening up their space
for us to just get away and clear out the day to day to focus on the
future. Please join me in praying for
our board as they continue to be faithful to God's call for The Restoration
House and the families we serve. To see

Mother's Day Celebration...
Our 3rd Annual Mothers Day Celebration is right around
the corner. And this year is even bigger
and better.
The Mother's Day Celebration is an opportunity
to join The Restoration House in celebrating mothers everywhere. This year, this family fun event is being
held at the indoor amphitheatre at West Town Mall on Saturday, May 2nd
from 11 - 4 PM. Come on out and say hi
to Shannon and Marisa from Love89 who will be broadcasting live. There will be activities for the kids
including a moonwalk as well as food from Chick-fil-A. Door prizes will be awarded from some of your
favorite spots in the mall and from Love89.
Also look for the
Mother's Day Celebration coming to a church near you.

enter our online contest and to give a donation in honor of your mother please

National Mentoring Initiative...
The Restoration House was recently accepted into the
National Mentoring Initiative, a three year capacity building grant through the
Knoxville Leadership Foundation. We are
extremely excited about this opportunity.
For three years we will be coordinating with six other organizations that
have mentoring programs in order to build on each other's strengths and learn
the best practices as we grow to more effectively serve the individuals and
families with which we journey. This is an
unbelievable opportunity and just another door God has so graciously
opened.
A Day In the Life...
If you know someone who needs to hear about the vision of The Restoration House we want to encourage you to invite them to our one hour
free monthly event called, A Day in the Life. This month it will be on Thursday, April 16th
from 5-6 PM at Middlebrook Christian Ministries. We would love to see you there. Please click here
for more information and a chance to RSVP for this month or future dates.
3 Grants in One Week...
This past week The Restoration House sent in three grants to
three different organizations totaling $75,000.
We don't know how these organizations are going to respond to these
requests, but we trust that God is going to continue to provide for The
Restoration House and the families with which we journey every day. He is faithful and we are so blessed to be in
the financial position we are in. Please
join us in giving Him thanks.
Thank you so much for your support of single mothers and their children. May we all be restored back to God's good intent for our lives!
Journeying toward Restoration,
Daniel Watson
