4 quick Credit Crunching ‘Top Tips’ from MemberWise

Tip No 1: Offer your members recession-specific information and advice – Your members will appreciate the advice and the activity outwardly shows empathy and understanding.  

We have hand-picked some great examples for you: Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists, Chartered Accountants Ireland, Institute of Directors and RIBA. RIBA has cleverly packaged their advice into a tangible ‘Recession Survival Kit’ and locked it down in the Member Area on their website. Tip No 3: Make use of good quality information and advice that is out there! The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) is now offering free and dedicated recession advice, and the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations has also launched a dedicated website – Recession Support

Top Tip No 4: Cut your spend on travel and ‘out-of-pocket' expenses. 'Every little helps!' so Tesco would say! We recommend you purchase advanced rail tickets (see Virgin Charity Line), utilise the plethora of 2 for 1 meal deals out there, and for good measure why not register for a free BiTE Card? – It will save you 20% off ‘at train station’ outlets including Upper Crust, Caffe Ritazza, Pumpkin, Camden Food Co and Delice de France.

We think online surveys are great. They are cost-effective (less than £100 pa), quick to administer and offer a real opportunity to engage with your members.
