MW Feature: Focus on cost-effective promotional campaigns & literature
In the current economic climate we all need to ensure our promotional literature is concise and attractive in order to attract new members. So, how can we do this without having to break the bank?
5 Quick MemberWise Tips:
Tip 1: Consider using a separate designer and printer instead of an all-in-one solution provider. You will save at least 10%!
Tip 2: Always get at least three quotes from printers and designers, and be prepared to haggle!
Tip 3: Open an online account with an image provider and give your designer access instead of incorporating image costs in your total bill.
Tip 4: Keep postage costs to a minimum - Consider A5 format (instead of A4) and send out via Royal Mail’s ‘Mailsort 3’ or ‘Mailsort 3 Deferred’ (saving you up to 50% on normal postage rates) if you can schedule the promotion in advance.
Tip 5 – Consider email campaigns to complement hardcopy mailings

Event: Free invitation to Membership Money Saving Expert Seminar
You are invited to a free 'Membership Money Saving Expert' themed seminar at the Charities and Associations Exhibition (CHASE) 2010.
MemberWise Director, Richard Gott, will present a 40-minute session dedicated to sharing tactics that can make your organisation more effective (from a cost perspective) when recruiting and retaining members.
The session will be segmented into the following functions - membership, marketing, PR/lobbying, CPD, finance and IT.
CHASE will take place this Tuesday and Wednesday (at the Business Design Centre, London) and the seminar will begin at 9:45am on the Wednesday.
If you have a 'top tip' you would like to see featured (and attributed if appropriate) why not post on the MemberWise LinkedIn Group or add to the 'Top Tips' wall at the MemberWise stand (no 36).
Another great session will be led by Susie Kay from the Professionalism Group titled 'The Route to Fine Wine'. This session will offer an opportunity for delegates to recognise which of the five stages of maturity experienced by not-for-profit organisations best describes them and to consider the effect these maturity levels have on business operations and delivery. This session will take place at 10am on 23rd.
