Document Retention
We recently received a great question from a client asking how long specific documents should be kept. ARC Loan Applications Online
Thinking about applying for an American Recovery Capital loan? If so, check out eligibility requirements and applications at www.sba.gov/recovery. ARC loans are short-term loans up to $35,000 for existing small businesses with immediate economic hardships. The loans were created by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and are fully guaranteed by the Small Business Administration. Contact the SBA district office in your state for questions about the ARC loans, lenders and other resources.

New Tax Rates for Los Angeles Areas
The Board of Equalization has released new Sales and Use Tax Rates for Los Angeles areas that took effect on July 1, 2009.  For more information, you can view the State Board of Equalization Press Release.


The 2009 Great American Dine Out on September 20-26, is a week-long initiative to help end childhood hunger in America.  Restaurants can participate in various ways from donating a set percentage of sales to creating special menus or promotions.  Register before Sept. 1st on the Great American Dine Out website.
