Summer is ending, and the holiday season is right around the corner. What does this mean? Start training your staff on selling gift cards! The National Restaurant Association estimates that many non-chain restaurants ring up as much as 25 percent of their annual sales between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and much of these sales are from Gift Cards! With the fall season upon us, that means that it’s not too early to start thinking about your budget preparations for 2010.  After your P&L’s have been completed for the September fiscal month, please contact your Client Manager to arrange a time to begin preliminary budget discussions for 2010.  The goal is to have our client’s budgets completed by early December so you can focus your efforts on your holiday business.

The 2009 Great American Dine Out on September 20-26, is a week-long intiative to help end childhood hunger in Ameirca.  Restaurants can participate in various ways from donating a set percentage of sales to creating special menus or promotions.  Register before Sept. 1st on the Great American Dine Out website.
