COME OUT OF THE RAIN AND INTO THE LIBRARY

With the cold wet rain and drizzle most of the New Year, it is good to know that a warm welcome awaits you if you visit the Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library.

Come to any of the 13 libraries of our system, and take care of all kinds of tasks.

Now is a good time to replace your old Library card that has lost its luster. Visit any branch and have a choice between four newer Library ART Cards for minimal cost, or stick with the traditional blue and white SSJCPL Library card. Either way the new card will look beautiful in your wallet.

Use that shiny new library card to browse our databases. Databases can do many things like teach us about our health. Are you curious what a test result means, or do you want to know more about alternative medicines? Visit the Consumer Health Complete database to get your answers.

Receive a warm welcome at any of our programs too! We have free programming for all ages and all areas of interest. Whether you want to take the kiddos to a storytime, learn about local history, become more knowledgeable in estate planning, or are interested in organizing your home, the Library offers FREE programs in all 13 branches that are sure to be of value and interest.

The Library is the perfect FREE place to go to get out of the rain and to enjoy a little warmth. In fact, you can warm your insides, too, by visiting Ola’s Exotic Coffee on the second floor. Get a cup of coffee and your favorite book and stay awhile.
