WONDERING WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO LATELY?
iMEE has been on the move, presenting our work near & far to audiences in Bulgaria, Mexico City and South Florida...
June 2017 - iMEE successfully premiered Co-Founding Director, Spencer Gavin Hering's multi-disciplinary contemporary dance work, 360º on June 1st and 4th at the 11th annual black box INTERNATIONAL THEATRE & DANCE FESTIVAL in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. iMEE’s performances of 360º marked the company's first time to include the talents of a young artist. Mr. Jack Wolff performed as a true professional and elevated his dancing in each performance. 360º was received warmly by Bulgarian audiences and garnered standing ovations each evening. iMEE also had the opportunity to participate in a Master Class series and share company repertoire with local Bulgarian dancers.
In light of recent success, iMEE has been invited to return to the Festival for a third time to present a FULL evening of iMEE contemporary dance in 2019. We are also pleased to share that iMEE Co-Directors, Hering & Shelley are collaborating with black box ITDF Artistic Director, Slava Mladenova on a film/documentary that will focus on Shelley's powerful duet, Ivonice. Ivonice, created in 2009, has been performed nationally & internationally over a span of seven years by iMEE Co-Directors. This special work forged the company's relationship with the Festival and Mladenova in 2014. Filming for the upcoming collaboration/project is set to take place Spring 2018 in Miami, FL.
