Congratulations to Randy and Diane Sheffler, Red Cross
supporters, for winning first place in our Look
Like Lincoln photo contest with over 36% of the votes! In their photo,
Randy and Diane are depicting the act of performing life-saving CPR, an
essential part of the Red Cross mission.
MIX volunteer Quinn Brenneke placed second in the contest with over 29% of the votes, and Kathleen, a young Red Cross supporter, placed third with 15% of the votes. Make sure to check out our Look Like Lincoln photo album to see all of the entries. Thank you to everyone who participated in our contest!
We'd also like to thank everyone who took part in our It's All About the Lincolns penny campaign for local disaster relief. During the six-week fundraiser, supporters helped us raise over $2,100 in loose change and bills, with additional funds pending. Many thanks to the 75+ locations who served as collection sites and the countless individuals who generously contributed their change for local relief. Funds raised will help us provide emergency food, water and shelter to over 150 people in our community. Thank you for your participation. We couldn't have done it without you! |

What if the American Red Cross
of Northeast Indiana earned a donation every time you searched the Internet? Or
how about if a percentage of every purchase you made online went to support our
cause? Well, now it can! GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality search results from Yahoo, and watch the donations add up!
GoodShop.com is a new online shopping mall which donates up to 30% of each purchase to your favorite cause! Hundreds of great stores including Amazon, Target, Gap, Best Buy, eBay, Macy's and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop. Every time you place an order, you'll be supporting your favorite cause.
And if you download the GoodSearch – American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana toolbar, our cause will earn money every time you shop and search online - even if you forget to go to GoodShop or GoodSearch first! Add the American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana toolbar at http://www.goodsearch.com/toolbar!
