FREE DAS Software Update

Our DAS (Data Analysis Software) is designed to easily let you configure, view and record data from any of our products that use a USB output connector: Sensor SDKs, probes, AQ100s and all our data loggers.

The latest changes to DAS include the ability to adjust the zero point calibration depending on atmospheric pressure changes, and a filter that allows the user to balance response time and reading settling time.

Just how easy is it to use DAS? If you have a Windows-PC, you can be up and running in minutes. Watch a short video and see!

New Internal Sensor Coating from SenseAir Improves Accuracy, Good for the Environment

Senseair has announced that the K50 sensor used in our eSense Wall Meter, eSense CO2 Alarm for LEED and CO2 Alarm for OSHA has been redesigned using a new internal reflective coating material.

The new coating not only provides more accuracy, but it makes it possible to exclude the gold reflective layer from inside the sensor while still achieving high- performance. This means that the manufacture of the sensor will be better for the environment.

The new coating is part of SenseAir's ongoing commitment to their Environmental Management System Certification (SS-EN ISO 14001:2004) initiative.

c100-sensorNew C100 Uses Lowest Power of Any CO2 Sensor on the Market

The C100 is the latest carbon dioxide sensor by GSS. Because it uses solid state LEDs instead of heated filaments, the sensor offers:

  • High speed, real-time readings
  • Small size 14mm x 43mm
  • Low power - 5VDC, < 100mWatts

The low power requirements and small size makes the C100 convenient for OEM manufacturer's to mount in battery operated or portable products In addition, we offer a sealed cap (see below) to enable the C100 to be used in any device that requires a closed-loop system.

The C100 is supported by our DAS software, and can be purchased with a USB-connected development kit.

Empire State Building Uses CO2 for HVAC Control

buildingCO2-Controlled Ventilation Critical to Retrofit

A complete retrofit of the HVAC system inside the Empire State Building was recently completed, with predicted energy savings of up to 38%.

The owners of the landmark building decided on a long-term plan to reduce energy and water usage costs in order to make rents more competitive with newer properties and to reduce the building’s CO2 “footprint.”

Out of 66 plans for reducing the building’s energy requirements proposed, eight were chosen for their ability to create the highest return on investment for the building owners. One of the eight projects was to upgrade the fresh air dampers using CO2 control.
