Small oil studies ( plein air or studio) can be beautiful in themselves.
Where one brush stroke can say so much, a larger painting needs more
"fleshing out".
So you have
some small "gems" that are sitting in your studio waiting to be
transformed into big beautiful masterpieces? Now you can learn how to
use them as a reference to make larger more powerful paintings.

Critiques for Your Paintings

Use these critique sessions to climb to a new level in your work. Many
of you have paintings that need some tweeking but you aren't sure what needs adjusting.
Through this critique, you will hear how your and other artist's paintings or drawings can be improved. It doesn't matter what
medium you are working in, bring it for critique. We are meeting every
other week for 4 sessions. That will cover 8 weeks, giving you lots of
time to correct and create new ones for each session.

Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain - Part 2
Light and Shading

This is a class in the study of light and form. If you are reasonably
happy with your recognition of shapes and your ability to draw them,
but you want more three dimension in your drawings and paintings,
then, this class will help you. It takes you from the outline of object
to their form.
All aspects of lighting will be covered, from back
light, side lighting, reflected light and the many wonders of shadows.
This class will not only help your art, but your seeing of the world
around you will be enhanced. Medium will be pencil.
