Forever Green Tennessee

Restoring Tennessee's Real Estate Transfer Funds

In 1991, the TN legislature added a small increase to the Real Estate Transer Fees to save parks, wetlands, woods, wildlife and waters. In 2003 and 2008 this 'dedicated' money was diverted to Tennessee's general fund. These funds are in the Governor's budget to reinstate in June 2010, but they are in jeopardy of being taken from their original purpose again.

To learn more about this issue and what you can do to help, please visit Tennesse Parks & Greenway's blog or call 615-386-3171.
