Recognizing the Nutritional Value & Evidence of Moringa Oleifera The cultivated vegetable tree, Moringa oleifera, is an excellent nutritional source. This drought-resistant tree is an excellent source of protein, several vitamins and minerals as well as phytochemicals. In addition to its nutritional benefits, early studies indicate that Moringa oleifera may have potential value for the relief of pain and inflammation and as an antiseptic; it may have cardio-protective properties, and be a possible source of novel chemotherapy agents. Additional research is ongoing to verify these potential benefits. Moringa oleifera is commercially available as a nutritional supplement.
