Dear Egon,
It will be two years on August 2nd since Nassir Al-Ghawi and his family (pictured above) had their door bombed down, were illegaly evicted and forced to protest on a couch outside their home. This is a result of Israel’s illegal policy of evicting Palestinian families from their homes in East Jerusalem. You can help!
Despite practicing illegal evictions and demolitions, Israel enjoys a very favourable trading agreement with the EU. The EU is Israel's biggest importer of goods, so this trading agreement, known formally as the EU-Israel Association Agreement, is very important to Israel.
We believe this preferential agreement should be immediately suspended until Israel stops violating international law and starts protecting the basic human rights of Palestinians. Take action here!
Watch this trailer for a short film on the work of two of the organisations Trócaire supports in Israel, the Israeli Committee Against Housing Demolitions and Breaking the Silence.

Our community has stood with the Palestinian people many times. In the face of Israel’s illegal policy of house evictions and demolitions, we must sit in solidarity with Nassir on his couch and demand justice for him and his family.
