President's Message

2018 TMGA President

This has been a thrilling year as we celebrated the 40th Anniversary of the Texas Master Gardener program, the 25th year of the TMGA, as well as the opening of The Gardens at Texas A&M University!

I was even more honored during my tenure as President to chair the special anniversary conference in April; what a significant event! I enjoyed meeting so many of you over the three days.

This past Saturday, at the Directors Meeting, I passed the torch to the very qualified Duddly Hargrove from Kaufman County. Our association is in good hands with Duddly at the helm along with a stellar executive committee. The TMGA is an incredible organization and I have enjoyed my five years as an officer. I encourage you to become involved at the state level!

I will remain involved in the TMGA and of course with AgriLife Extension Services, although I will be spending some extra time with my menagerie at the ranch.

Thank you for the privilege of having me serve as your President in 2018.

Kind Regards,

Nicky Maddams
