Gioia a Vita-Joy To Life, helps Doctors add Value to their practice with greater patient satisfaction, and referrals!

ImageMy staff and I have had the pleasure of meeting you at Doctors Educational events (CME/CE) or at Joy To Life sponsored educational workshops for patients, at your doctors office location. You had requested a follow-up of information on our Ideal Protein protocol and for Doctors, how business benefits with positive outcomes for your patients. When I was asked, "how Joy To Life helps doctors and health professionals", my response was "we increase patient satisfaction, referrals, and patient health results!"

Dr. Bill Frank is a prime example of the Joy To Life services we provide for him and his patients.

By Dr. Bill Frank Pres. North West Ohio Chiropractic Association

“I was honored when asked by managing director of “Joy To Life©” weight loss centers Bob Ehmann, to write how my experience with the Ideal Protein Diet© worked with my family, patients, and me.
I must admit I was skeptical when first approached in February 2008 and finally agreed to begin the protocol in March. After all, I was approached by many diet plans, pills, drinks, powders, and exercise programs, over my thirteen years of practice. What was impressive was the physiology, Endocrinology, and nutritional components of the protocol which made me comfortable in knowing of its success in eight other countries for the past twenty-three years.
As a health professional, there are many direct health consequences I have seen both neurologically, and musculoskeletal, from obesity issues that are diminishing the quality of life of my patients.
I have since lost over 85 pounds and with my patients, have a good understanding that once I meet my target weight loss, how to keep it off!”

According to Health and Human services 60% of North Americans are overweight and 42% are OBESE leading to health issues related to DIABETES, CHOLESTEROL DISORDER, HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE. All known as the "Deadly Quartet" or syndrome X!

Cost of Obesity
Research proves that people could live longer and healthier at an ideal body weight. The average American has gained around 8 pounds in the past 10 years. LSU researchers estimate that “the direct costs of obesity in the United States is now at 39.3 billion dollars a year. That is more than 5% of all medical costs.”
Market Data Enterprises says, “Americans spend another $38 billion a year trying to lose weight.”
Other researchers report that after a four and a half year study “the costs of long-term weight loss on one popular very-low-calorie diet program was $286.36 per pound”!! Long-term weight loss is not only expensive, but very hard to attain.
Obesity is not just a concern of a morbidly obese person. The problems affect society as a whole since obesity contributes to the incidence of chronic disease. According to the Surgeon General “Obesity, with its rank among the top ten diseases, may be America's number-one contributor to health care costs.”

I tried every diet, could not lose the weight and keep it off.

A great question from our patient Dr. Jim E. writes;

"My measurments are not changing and the weight is flat lining. I still can only do minimal exercise and I take mostly the morning vitamins, plus more b-complex and Vit-c. I should be loosing more than 29lbs in 7 weeks on the Joy To Life- Ideal Protein Diet. What seems to be the problem?"

From Mike Ciell, R. Ph (Chief Science Officer Ideal Protein)

Dr. Jim E.,

First be reassured Jim you are doing fine: You may want to talk with your Health coach about our "COMANDO BOOT CAMP" protocol designed to shake-up plateaus and for ladies, the cellulite. You have been on the program for 7 weeks now and down 29 lbs...that's about 4 lbs./week. So, if you stay on the program for a year that's over 200 lbs! And that's loosing WAY faster than you gained it (plus you loosing fat, not muscle..no other diet can do this).

Do not stress about the calories: if you lose 4 lbs a week that's (4x 3500 Kcal = 14,000 Kcal per week). Divide by 7 days = -2000 Kcal per day. Now add in say 700-900 Kcal that you are eating per day, which would translate into a total calorie loss of 2700 Kcal per day in order to lose 4 lbs per week. I doubt your resting metabolic rate is this high, even with very light exercise, which means you are in strong ketosis and are "peeing out some calories".
We could increase physical activity but I would say not to.....why get stressed out, let's wait till you gets down some more...be as comfortable as possible. This is a long term comittment..not a race (what's the hurry...to go back to eating the way you want?)

NOT LOOSING INCHES?:

Understand that in really obese folks they basically have more fat per square inch of surface area. An obese guy with 20" arms will have more fat (calories stored) than a person with 14" diameter arms. This means the big guy will see a slower decrease in diameter because there's "more fat per inch". It's like a roll of paper towels, if you start pulling sheets off a new roll AT A STEADY RATE... the diameter of the roll will decrease slowly at first, then accelerate as the diameter decreases.....THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH JIM.....if he sticks to it.

RITA'S RECIPES

It was wonderful watching our two granddaughters carrying Zucchini from the garden and giving it to Grandma Rita for a creative dinner. It is great for all Four Phases of the Ideal Protein protocol and easy!

Yield 2-3 meals
1 Zucchini moderate to large size
2-4 Packets of Ideal Protein Vegetable Chili

Cut Zucchini in half, and leave slightly hollowed out portion face up in baking dish.
Slowly pre-cook the Chili till fully hydrated on stove.
Fill hollowed out portions of Zucchini and bake in the oven at 350
till Zucchini is soft.

The guests could not believe the flavor and thought Rita slaved all day to make. Needless to say it was nutritional and great tasting!

Rita's Tips and Tricks-

Do you like cinnamon? Besides its medicinal value, try adding
1/4 tsp to your IP Cereal, or your choice of cinnamon or pumpkin spice to Vanilla Pudding. Best brand I found is from Costco "Ground Saigon Cinnamon" from the Cinnamon trees in the tropical highlands of Vietnam with a sweet-hot flavor.

Zucchini Pancakes
For All Stages of the Ideal Diet Protocol

Yield: 2 meal portions (because of the egg whites)
1 packet Ideal Protein Maple Oatmeal or plain crepe
2-3 egg whites
2 small to medium zucchinis - shredded
Salt and pepper to taste.

Onion/garlic (optional)

Combine and cook like pancakes. Pretty tasty!

Taco Salad
For All Stages of the Ideal Diet Protocol

Yield: 1 Ideal Protein portion

2 cups of celery, green peppers and mushrooms chopped coarsely or finely, as you wish
1 Ideal Protein Vegetable Chili
Sea salt
Seasonings of your choice
One portion of your favorite greens
Fresh tomato salsa
Fresh raw red onion, chopped
Fresh lemon and lime, optional
Hot sauce, optional

Drizzle a little olive oil in a pan. Add chunks of celery, green pepper and mushrooms and stir fry till ‘al dente’ Season with sea salt and your favorite seasonings. I recommend the organic Mexican Fiesta seasonings, a blend made of dehydrated chili peppers, dehydrated onion, tomato powder, paprika, cumin, dehydrated garlic, cilantro, oregano, red pepper and lemon peel.

Meanwhile, cook the vegetable chili as directed on packet. When both are cooked to perfection, mix them together and place over a bed of your favorite greens. Top with fresh tomato salsa, more chopped raw red onion, a splash of lemon or lime and hot sauce, if you like. Delicious!

NOTE: If you used a store-bought Salsa product, be sure to get sugar-free.

Barb and Brock can't stop bragging..
Barb Alexander, Archbold Ohio
“I had two weeks to fit in my dress for my sons wedding and feared the idea of losing weight too fast would be detrimental to my health.”
I attended an educational workshop and learned that the common thread to obesity is insulin resistance and an overactive pancreas that has caused a Yo-Yo affect with my weight and health for many years.
The workshops were helpful in being educated and understanding how portion control dieting depletes muscle, which has made it more difficult in losing weight the second time around. Isolating fat loss and maintaining muscle and organs were key to me being comfortable in the program and have since lost over 25 pounds since I started a few short weeks ago!

FOR A WORKSHOP NEAR YOU PLEASE E-MAIL Joy_To_Life@hotmail.com or call 866-232-9623.

Brock Thourot Wauseon, Ohio says;
“I started the diet around the end of January, 2009. I was quite skeptical at first but I quickly learned how well it actually works. I began my diet at 348lbs with the goal of losing 100lbs. Within the first month, people started to see a change in my physical image as well as my social image. Not only did I begin to lose weight ,(VERY QUICKLY I MIGHT ADD) but was having more confidence about myself, more energy, and just, a much more fun person to be around. It does change your physical appearance very much, but my surprise came from the attitude that erupted from this new body.
Now at just over two months I have successfully lost 65 pounds and 14 inches. I feel great! I can breathe easier, don’t get wore out walking to my truck, I look great which in turn makes me more self confident. I am more at ease with the potential health risks I was facing in the future now, than three months ago. And it is ALWAYS nice to hear how much different you look to people.”
