Hello from FlipSide
So what have you all been up to this summer? You might have heard that there have been a few new quartets forming, and we are so excited that FlipSide is one of them! Friends for a long time, Merriann Cree, Margaret Leggett, Kathy Pecsar and Sandy Cope, have joined together for a new adventure of singing and fun. Over the years, we have sung with each other in different configurations and can't wait to see where this new combination takes us.
All four of us have been lucky to have sung in many quartets and have been blessed with the wonderful friendships that resulted. We have the utmost respect and admiration for all our friends that we have sung with and wish them the best of luck in their new adventures as well! FlipSide wishes all of the Region 12 competitors the best of luck at International! To our dear friends PDQ, Love Notes, Cheers and Bay Area Showcase - we know you will do awesome in Houston! And best of luck to Heavenly in the Rising Star contest. We will see you all at the AIM weekend in September!

HEAVENLY QUARTET appears on Good Day Sacramento
Our current YWIH Quartet Champions, Heavenly, made an exciting appearance on the morning TV show, Good Day Sacramento, on Sunday, Aug. 21st. They were spotted entertaining at a charity garage sale by Good Day staff the day before, and asked to entertain for the show the next morning. They performed two songs, were interviewed by the broadcasters, and when asked to improvise a musical intro for the next segment, the Car Tsar, came up with a classic barbershop tag, including personalized words on the spot! I was very impressed; not only with their polished musical performance, but with the professional way they presented themselves and represented Region 12. They even gave a plug for membership – BRAVO! Thank you Heavenly, we are very proud of you. Did you miss their TV performance?
You can watch a video clip by logging on to the Good Day Sacramento website as follows;
