Saturday Apr 14, 9 a.m. Act of Consecration. 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Workshop: Befriending Death. Three sessions, covering the spiritual and practical questions before, during and after death. Lunch included. Suggested donation $35-$50 sliding scale. No one is excluded for lack of funds. RSVP to Rev. Minassian by Apr 8

Sunday April 15, noon, “In the world and around us – What is happening to the refugees?” by Rev. Sturgis Poorman - Rev. Poorman is a retired Presbyterian minister who lives with his wife, Joanne, in Bryn Mawr.  He assists at Ardmore Presbyterian Church in the role of Parish Associate.  In 1999 Rev. Poorman founded the organization Welcoming the Stranger, an educational ministry with immigrants and refugees in Bucks County.  The organization has 17 different class sites in Bucks and Montgomery Counties, providing English, computer, and citizenship training.  Since his retirement in 2015, Rev. Poorman has volunteered with Bethany Christian Services in their ministry of refugee resettlement.  He is also the coordinator of First Place, a transitional home for newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers.  First Place is a mission of Ardmore Presbyterian Church. 

Sunday April 22, 10 a.m. Sacrament of Confirmation for Charlotte Adams and Elise von Gleich Razo - Confirmation marks the threshold from childhood to youth. Communion is reserved for the confirmands today, their first communion. Please plan to attend this beautiful sacrament in support of the young people and their families.  There will not be Sunday Service for Children on this Sunday.  All children are welcome to join for the first part of the Sacrament.  All members and friends are welcome. You are welcome to bring a rose to share with the confirmands and a dish for the festive gathering after the service.
