Editors Note
Finally we have a bit of sunshine to brighten our days and we can feel that summer might be on the way.
In this issue, we have updates on airlines, hotels and checkmytrip, plus new dates for classroom training courses.
With the new rules regarding password, it is worth noting that using unique passwords will prevent unathorized access to your computer. In the Helpful Hints & Training we have a small section on how to re-sign in to your Amadeus without the need to close your session.
Happy reading,
John Burnett

Product Updates
Amadeus LinkHotel
Amadeus announces the launch of Amadeus LinkHotel, a new distribution and marketing service aimed at small to medium-sized hotels and groups. At the heart of the enhanced service is the former Otedis, the representation company acquired by Amadeus in 2005. All new and existing hotel members will be migrated onto the new enhanced distribution platform.
As well as offering advanced global and internet distribution systems (GDS and IDS) through an open standards platform, Amadeus LinkHotel also provides reservation tools, marketing services, and commission handling. The new distribution technology used by Amadeus LinkHotel is built on open standards. This means that the service is scalable and enables easy integration with other hotel systems, such as revenue and property management. Amadeus LinkHotel supports centralised rate and inventory management, and is one of the only services of its kind to offer automated commission handling to ensure intermediaries receive payment accurately and on time from member hotels.
CheckMyTrip Goes Mobile
CheckMyTrip, the online itinerary tool from Amadeus is now available for mobile phones to provide up-to-the-minute travel information. Pilot applications for the iPhone, Blackberry and Facebook to reduce stress of delayed flights are also available.
CheckMyTrip can be accessed via the internet, either through a mobile or PC web browser, at www.checkmytrip.com . There, passengers simply need to enter their booking reference to bring up their full itinerary and related information.
CheckMyTrip for iPhone can be downloaded directly from the Apple App Store.
CheckMyTrip for Facebook is an application that consumers can install to import and share travel plans with friends and family.
CheckMyTrip for the Blackberry platform is currently in trials and will be released soon.

Provider News
Austrian Airlines
Austrian Airlines and Amadeus have signed a long-term “Full Content” agreement. The contract runs until the end of 2014. As of 1 March 2010, travel agencies worldwide will have guaranteed access to the full range of Austrian Airlines fares and inventory through Amadeus, with no surcharge.
The agreement ensures that Austrian Airlines’ schedules, fares, last seat availability and associated inventory available through Amadeus will be the same and under the same conditions as in all other direct or indirect sales channels, distribution systems or websites worldwide. Amadeus is one of the most important distribution partners of Austrian Airlines.
LOT Polish Airlines
LOT Polish Airlines which has been a user of Amadeus' Altéa reservation system since 2003, will now add the Amadeus Altéa inventory module to its customer management system. After the implementation, which is expected to be completed by the second half of 2010, the airline will manage both reservations and inventory from an integrated, new generation technology platform.
Asiana Airlines
Asiana Airlines and Amadeus have signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) to commence detailed evaluation of the Amadeus Altéa Customer Management System. Under this MOU, Asiana will set the timelines for their assessment and planning for the future implementation of Altéa. Once implemented, the Altéa solution will manage all reservation, inventory and departure control processes for Asiana, delivering a fully integrated Customer Management System.
CAT35 Fare Filing
An ATPCO enhancement for the filing of CAT35 fares means that airlines can now show the actual fare in the fare box or IT/BT (as has been the case until now). It is entirely up to the airline how it files these fares. If their loading shows an actual fare amount it will also appear in the fare calculation box.
