Issue 1, Volume I

Welcome to our new newsletter!

Here we are upon another new year in Leadership Clarksville, and what an exciting year it's turning out to be.  The chairs for each day may be calling and asking for your help and guidance.  There is no better way to stay involved in your Leadership Clarksville program than helping plan and participate one or more of the sessions.  I hope you will be willing and anxious to help.

Over the next few months, the board has committed to performing a complete evaluation of our Leadership Clarksville program.  We want to examine each and every aspect of our program, evaluate the program and come up with a new and improved Leadership Clarksville.  There will be a steering committee, focus groups, research groups and a facilitator to bring all of the efforts and research together.  The result will be a Leadership Clarksville program that you will be proud of, that you will want to be very involved in and really feel that you gain something not only from going through the program, but from remaining active as an alumni of the program.  To accomplish this will require the input from everyone, especially you.  Your thoughts, ideas and concerns are necessary and will be utilized to bring this program to where you want it to be.  Everyone who wants to be involved in this process, please contact me soon and I will get you involved.  This is our Leadership Clarksville program.  Let’s work together to make it the best it can be!

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, have very Merry Christmas and here's to a happy 2010!

Thank You,

David Smith ('96)

President

A note from Youth Leadership Clarksville Class of 2010 Chair, Amy Orton:

There is nothing better than educating, energizing, informing and connecting our youth to one another and to Clarksville's needs.  These are our future leaders and I am excited to have this opportunity.

Please email me or call me at 931-553-5201 if you are interested in chairing for a day - OR - even if you have some fresh ideas for this class that I can share with the committee, please email or give me a call.  I want it to be the "Best Class Yet"!
