You care. I care. We are a caring community serving the needs of West Marin seniors. We celebrated the tenth anniversary of Stockstill House on October 10th. Volunteers, family members, staff and friends transformed our assisted living home into a lovely setting with gold and burnt orange linens on the tables, spectacular fall flowers, and appreciative people.

We all want to say thank you for the appetizers donated by the Olema Inn and wine from Frankie Williams of Toad Hollow Vineyards. And we pay tribute to the many donors and community members for their vision and support enabling us to own and operate Stockstill House. If you missed this celebration don’t wait for the next invitation ten years from now. Call Pam Osborn at 663-8148 and schedule a visit so you can see this wonderful community resource for yourself, or come to the monthly tea. (See details in events.)

Last month we launched our premier issue of e-NEWS. We thank volunteer Annie Cutler for making this happen in just two short months. What a joy to work with her! You can help us better serve the community by telling your friends and neighbors about West Marin Senior Services. It’s easy to forward our e-NEWS or send us email addresses to be added to our list. WMSS e-NEWS is an easy way to keep current on senior activities in West Marin.
As we move into the holiday season, reflect, pause and give thanks, for we have a lot to appreciate. Take time out for yourself. Know that the work continues. We appreciate the caring people in this community who have so generously given of their time, talent, and treasures to enrich the lives of elders in West Marin. If you, or someone you know, needs a caregiver, assistance with meals, transportation, or companionship please call us. Our WMSS staff are caring, competent, and compassionate. Together, we make a difference.

Over 100 people received vaccinations at the Tomales Flu Shot Clinic (a 208% increase over last year)! Participants in this ranching community were delighted since access to a clinic can take 30-60 minutes of driving over winding country roads. If mobility was an issue for some of our seniors, it was no problem for the crackerjack team of nurses and medical assistants from CHA and Kathleen Roach, PHN. |
