Canal Alliance honors Volunteers during National Volunteer Week! VIDEO

Canal Alliance held our annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner this past April 20th to celebrate the participation of more than 400 volunteers. The evening was highlighted by delicious food and drink catered by the Mujeres del Canal Cooperative as well as fantastic prizes donated by area businesses for attendees. “We could not do the work we do if it wasn’t for the help of volunteers” Doug Campillo – Canal Alliance staff. The comprehensive number of hours that volunteers donate to our organization has a monetary value to more than $264,000 annually!

SAVE THE DATE. Our new Sustainable Enterprise Center opens on May 14th.

The Canal Alliance Sustainable Enterprise Center is opening its door to support the ever growing numbers of Latino entrepreneurs in Marin. The Center is located at 130 Alto Street which is just around the corner from our main front door. Sustainability is at the core of our training because we recognize the need and opportunity for entrepreneurs to incorporate green principles into the building of a successful business. The Center contains a 24-seat training room, business counselors, and a resource library.
