National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is recognized on the fourth Thursday in April each year.  This annual event is an educational program in the United States and Canada where parents take their children to work with them for one day.  Please email with your child/ren name and grade if they will be participating in this event.

CONGRATS TO ALL OF OUR PLAY AND STAGE CREW MEMBERS!  The Sound of Music was beautifully done! Thank you for making the show such a huge success- your talents and service are extraordinary!  


Thank you to all our parents for attending our Safety and Security Meeting on Wednesday, April 18.  We were very pleased to hear all the detailed questions, and concerns that were presented to Mr. Gale from the NJ State BOE.  HERE is a brief outline of the meeting coverage.  At the conclusion of our meeting, Father Damian announced his concerns for school and church safety and that he will be donating $10,000 to the school to start the projects needed to secure the campus.  Good Counsel School will also direct its next annual fund towards safety needs.

Diocesan Day Of Service DONATIONS

This year, as a Diocesan collaborative project, all area Catholic Schools are joining together to make goodie/care bags for children in our local hospitals.  We are collecting small individually wrapped bags of candy, small toys such as crayons/coloring books, fidget spinners, and other small fun things to occupy them. FINAL DATE FOR COLLECTIONS IS: Thursday, April 26.  Please deliver to Main Office in the box marked HOSPITAL DONATIONS. Any questions contact

Battle of the Books

OLGC’s 8th Grade Battle of the Books team represented our school very well at the county competition last week.  Seventeen teams met at Olson Middle School in Tabernacle, and our team placed fourth in a very close competition. In fact, the team was only 2 points from third place. Congratulations to our 8th grade readers: Dean Damato, Kiera Songhurst, Gabrielle Adams, and Bernadette Carney!

AM Arrivals

AS A REMINDER:  In an ongoing effort to keep your children safe, please be advised, that your child is not permitted to wait by the school entrance doors before 8:05; there is no supervision before this time.  Please note temperature drops with winter season and other weather concerns.

Also, documentation of names of students will be taken, that are waiting outside prior to 8:05.  Parents will be receiving the necessary contacts home as warnings.  

After School Concerns

  1. Please note that after our 3:00 pm dismissal, all car/walker students are under their parent's supervision.  Any child left without a parent is to report back into the building. These students will report to Aftercare, and the normal fees will apply.  Any student that remains in the parking lot must be under parent supervision. The school will not be held liable for students unattended.

  2. Students/Parents must use the CROSSWALK.  We were notified that students/parents are crossing throughout the streets, and must be using the designated crosswalks.


  • Fashion Show Tickets are on sale, get your tables in are selling fast!   • 50/50 Tickets are on sale and “Battle of the Homerooms” is now on...Let’s get that number up to $20,000!  The winning homeroom will win a dress down day with Rita’s Water Ice. 1st Place: Prek 4  2nd Place: 3B 3rd Place: KB FOR THE SECOND WEEK IN A ROW!                                                                                              

  • The deadline has passed, but we are extending the Diocesan Day of Service until THIS THURSDAY. Please consider donating...details can be found above in red!

  • Stocks Pound cakes are back!  We are limited to 198 loaves and last year we sold quickly!  So, get your orders in!! Deadline to order is May 8th!!

  • Rita’s in Mount Laurel will be hosting an OLGC night on Wednesday, May 16th from 5pm-close.  Come see some familiar faces scooping!

  • Room moms will be contacting you to help out at your child’s Field Day which will be held on Tuesday, May 13th PreK3-3rd grades and Wednesday, May 14th 4th-7th grades.  Please sign up if you can, Ms. Salter has plenty of fun things planned and needs as much assistance as possible!!

  • Karate has rolling sign-ups for enrichment, please sign up when you can!

  • The Animal Adoption Center will be hosting a designer handbag bingo at our school on May 11. Please consider attending.
