Dear {FIRST_NAME},
I want to thank you all for your continued support of BRAC. I was truly touched by the immediate and generous response that BRAC and its partners in Haiti received after the devastating earthquake. Did you know that any donations you give for Haiti relief between January 12 and March 1st count toward your 2009 tax return?
This week, the Executive Director of BRAC International is traveling to Haiti along with a small team to meet with our partners at Fonkoze and Partners in Health and to strategize BRAC's programs for relief, rehabilitation and sustainable development in Haiti. We will continue keeping you up to date on our blog.
Below, you can also read about BRAC's founder being knighted, a different way to give on Valentine's Day, and one of our Program Manager's visits to a BRAC school in Pakistan. Enjoy!
Best wishes,
Susan Davis

P.S. BRAC recently celebrated it's 38th year of empowering the poor to bring about changes in their own lives by strengthening its mission and updating it's look. You can read about our updated logo and mission on our blog.

Learning ABC's in the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan
“A B C D E F G…” From a cold, open-air classroom where temperatures are below 40oF (4oC), passersby’s can hear enthusiastic pre-primary schoolchildren practicing the English alphabet.
