Nickel City Chef's Book Launch

Join the Nickel City Chefs on October 25th for the launch of their new book, "Nickel City Chef: Buffalo''s Finest Chefs & Ingredients," published by Buffalo Heritage Unlimited and written by founder Christa Glennie Seychew with a foreword by Regina Schrambling.

This book features 32 recipes, farm profiles, chef biographies, competition insights, and more. PLUS each copy includes a DVD featuring several challenge videos and the film, "Food for Change", featuring Western New York chefs and farmers.

The book launch takes place from 5:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25th at Artisan Kitchens & Baths, the home of Nickel City Chef. This event is free and open to the public. Join us for light snacks, a cash bar, and the chance to meet some of WNY''s finest chefs and farmers.

All guests are asked to bring a non-perishable food item as a donation to the Food Bank of WNY. The official invitation can be viewed by clicking here.



Applications for Challengers Now Being Accepted

Only four chefs will be chosen to compete during Nickel City Chef's Fourth Season, slated to being in February 2012!

Applications are due December 2nd. Any WNY chef currently working in an independently owned restaurants, hotel, private or public club may apply.

After 16 successful competitions, we are really looking forward to Season Four. Do you know a talented chef? Forward them the link to the 2012 Application.

Season Tickets go on sale December 2nd. THEY ARE ONLY AVAILABLE TO NICKEL CITY CHEF FACEBOOK FANS. Tickets for individual challenges will go on sale online January 6th, 2012.
