Teens today are dying to find hope!

Research released earlier this year from The Barna Group states that Generation Z (those born between the years 1999 – 2015) is the first post-Christian generation in America’s history. We have a group of young people who don’t assert by itself any religious identity. Many have little to no foundation in regards to Jesus, the Bible or church. In addition, the research points out the percentage of atheists in this age group are double that of the adult population who identify as atheist

At the same time, we see negative behaviors among our young people skyrocketing, which can lead to tragic results. In fact, today, suicide is the second leading cause of death among teenagers in America.

Bringing Hope to a Hopeless World

Collision is a student-led movement that was born out of this brokenness. As we celebrate our 10th Anniversary, the movement is stronger than ever. What started in one school has now spread to 23 middle and high schools in the Sioux Falls area…and it’s growing! Students are spreading hope among their peers.

“Before Collision I struggled with depression and suicide, but because God used
Collision in my life I found purpose through Jesus Christ.”
                                                                     -Roosevelt High School Student

We are grateful for what has happened over the past 10 years, but we are even more excited about what lies ahead as students grow bolder and share with their peers. Thank you for standing with them. Your support truly does spread hope!
  • We are beginning to make plans to expand the movement in the Harrisburg area.
  • More than 6 Disciple Making Movements were started last week in the Sioux Falls area.
  • We had several volunteers assist us in the office last week. We love our volunteers! Don’t forget the Volunteer Appreciation Night, Thursday, November 15, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Collision Office (3815 S Western Avenue).
In Christ,
Angie Glasser and the Collision Staff
