 2010 has been named "International Year of Biodiversity". With the destruction of many of our planet's habitats, increasing numbers of animals showing up on the endangered species list, and the rise in concerns about global climate change, it's becoming more important than ever for kids to learn about the importance of protecting these species and their habitats.
Join NJAAS as we explore the ocean's biodiversity and learn about animals like endangered sharks, seahorses and penguins, through field trips, hands on activities, behind the scenes and exhibit tours at Adventure Aquarium, crafts, games, a 4D Theatre Show and up-close animal encounters. Camp runs Monday - Friday from 9am - 3:30pm. Campers must bring their own lunch, but an afternoon snack will be provided.
| July 5 - 9 — Bio-Explorers: Children Ages 7-12: $275 per week
From the darkest depths of the oceans, to the tops of the trees in the rainforests, our ear th is teeming with life—some strange, some beautiful, all amazing! We’ll travel the globe (without leaving New Jersey!) to look at some of these awesome animals and the unique habitats they call home!
July 12 - 16 — Eco-Defenders: Children Ages 7-12: $275 per week
Put on your scuba mask, pack up your canteens and duffle bags, and come exploring with us as we learn ways to help protect animals and conserve the ecosystems that they depend upon for survival!
July 19 - 30 — Junior Conservationists: Children Ages 13- 15: $600 for two weeks.
Especially for our older, scientist-wanna-be campers, this hands-on experience will bring science to life through interactive activities, field trips into the wild, up close animal encounters, and more!
