Welcome John!
Hello!! My name is John Tiedemann and I have just joined the Thousand Hills Pet Resort team as the Resort's Assistant Manager. I am very excited and blessed to be a part of this wonderful operation and to be able to work with the young men of Alpha Academy in such a positive work & learning environment. I have an extensive background in management working in Customer and Vendor Relations and I look forward to bringing this experience to Thousand Hills Pet Resort. I have always been a big "Dog-Lover" and our family's Dog, Benji, is a big part of our family, all twelve pounds of him!! My daughter, Angela is a Junior at San Luis High and both she and I have fostered and found homes for many shelter dogs from SLO County's Animal Services. Angela recently served as a "Guest Judge" at the Resort's 3rd Annual "Howl-O-Ween" Costume Contest held this past weekend. I am learning a lot here at the resort and I would have to say my favorite part of the job is seeing the excitement the Dog's display when either coming or leaving the Resort. The Joy that they express is a lot of fun to watch, and their "tails" really tell it all!! I look forward to meeting you all on your next visit to our facility.
Manager's Article
Thank you to all who joined us at the Howl-O-Ween party. It was a great time and the costumes were amazing. The winners of the contests as well as other pictures will be posted on our website and on Facebook so please look out for those...SO CUTE! I look forward to seeing you all here again next year!
As you may have seen, we are looking for your help with landscaping and construction around the pet resort. We would love to trade services with any of our customers who have those skills and would like to help us out. We are always looking to improve the appearance of the pet resort, so those services could always be very helpful. In addition through, we are preparing to bring in our training facility. As described below, we are currently training rescue dogs, and have also started training our customers dogs. Our goals for training include providing additional training opportunities for customers, training dogs for nose work, then eventually service dog training. The young men who have been learning so much from training plan to give back in the future by training dogs to help others. Our training facility is one step towards reaching these goals and we could really use your help to make that happen. Please contact Nicole at the Pet Resort, or at nicole.thpr@gmail.com.
Groomer's Tip
By Judy Javert "From Nose to toes..."
We at Thousand Hills Grooming have a lot to be thankful for this year. Our Grooming department has grown in the service of our canine guests. We want to continue to give our clients the convenience of a freshly groomed or bathed pet at the end of their daycare or boarding stay. When scheduling a stay, please let us know if you would like grooming services and the time of pickup, so your pet will be clean and dry when you get there. Early pickups mean damp dogs, (and we don't want that!) Booking appointments ahead of time ensures the care of your pet. If your pet needs a haircut or just a tidy up, ( pads, feet, hocks, sani) I'm always available Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, so book an appointment early. Bonnie, Michella and I appreciate the opportunity to care for your beloved pets, and with early scheduling, we can continue to take care of them all. A Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving to all!

Daycare Dog of the Month!
This month, Logan is Thousand Hills Pet Resort's Daycare Dog of the Month! He is a sweet young terrier mix puppy who has made his presence well known in the mini yard! Since he started coming to Daycare, he has become such a fantastic play-friend to everyone. His happy puppy energy is always welcome, and you can always find him alternating between wrestling around with one of his best buds, or basking in the sun taking a much-needed nap. Congratulations Logan, November's Daycare Dog of the Month!
