Ladies and Gentlemen... Presenting the OUTDOOR ARENA!
We are blessed and very excited to have a wonderful variety
of entertainment going all weekend long!
Our outdoor arena will be filled with all kinds of music, dance,
creative workshops, and plenty of food.
The Green Lifestyle Film Festival is bringing together influences from
cultures all over the world and is creating a new type of atmosphere for people
to step away from all of the violence and hate of the “real world” and into an area of multicultural peace and growth through collaboration.
Alongside the Bollywood dance troupe, Move Bollywood, led by
the well established Reetu Patel, we have everything from hip-hop and pop with
the Luminaries and Maxso to an evolution of the two known as "hippie-hop" with The People's Party. We have singers and songwriters
like Kristin Hoffman (who sings the theme song for the festival "Song for
the Ocean"), Estherleon, and Karl Anthony (www.karlanthony.com). There will be yoga
workshops on stage with Jin Lian Hua from "Yoga of Joy" to Hilary
Kimblin of "At Peace Healing." There will also be a Temple Bhajan
Band as well as a presentation by one of the filmmakers, Nicole Moore of the
film "Nappy Free!" (http://www.nappyfree.com.au/).
Now That's a Bag of Goodies!
A Huge THANK YOU to all of our Sponsors and those who donated! At the Film Festival, we will be handing out an amazing assortment of goody bags to all of the attendees! Now when is the last time you got a goody bag made of grass and filled with organic olive oil, handmade soy candles, and... organic beer..??
If you're not into movies, this bag is enough to make anyone get out of bed and take a peek!

...And We're Bringing the World Together!
Our European partner, "Yes, We Care!" will be having its official US launch at our very own Green Lifestyle Film Festival! We understand that global warming, poverty, hunger, and pollution are Global problems and they affect the whole planet and everyone on it. It's time to put an end to our individualized thinking and realize that the only way to form a solution to a global problem is to bring the world together in unison.
"Yes, We Care!" is a non-profit coalition of companies and organizations that are choosing to take responsibility for our planet by donating a portion of their net earnings to "Yes, We Care!" supported charities. The "Yes, We Care!" logo is a symbol of hope and dedication to the welfare of others in need, and we are spreading their love to the United States. Read about their work and check them out for yourself at the Green Lifestyle Film Festival! Yes, We Care!

We are Partnering with Westside Food Bank!
|
Westside Food Bank is changing people's lives one fruit at a
time. Based in Santa Monica, CA,
Westside Food Bank has been helping to get people off the street and pointed
them towards helping other people live healthier, inspired lives.
Volunteers and the Westside team have dedicated themselves
to providing as much nutritious food as possible to local food assistance
charities, and to reducing food waste on the Westside. From distributing about 100,000 pounds
of food to six agencies in 1981, Westside is now distributing four million
pounds of food to sixty-five agencies.
They have also agreed to partner with us in the very 1st Vegetarian food drive in the U.S., launching in one week at the GLFF! SOVA Bay Food Pantry has offered their assistance in distributing this food during times of disaster relief and we are very grateful for both of these groups and their efforts to help those in need.
Please take a look at the work both of these organizations have done thus far and the impact they are having on so many lives.

Green Thumbs Up for Holland!
|

Jeroen Koeman has what you may call a “green thumb.” As
co-founder of EcoTulips, an organic tulip farm in Holland, he has been
providing America with some of the most beautiful tulips in the world. Jeroen and his wife recognized the
dangers of using pesticides and plant fertilizers and their impact on the
environment, and he particularly saw the negative effects these chemicals had
on the natural beauty and growth of tulips. Growing up in a real “Dutch Tulip
family,” tulips have always been a way of life for Jeroen and he really
understands them inside and out.
His family has been making a firm statement to the flowering industry
for many years and we want to offer our support to all of his efforts. Please
take a look at his website and soak in truly natural beauty.
