"We weren't placed on this earth to destroy it."
Hey there !
A Huge THANK YOU to everyone that made the Green Lifestyle Film Festival possible! To our friends in the Netherlands, Lil' Maxso, all of the performers and filmmakers, and most especially Dorit for taking a stand for our planet and all of the life on it.
Thank you to all of the exhibitors for taking time out of your busy schedules to show your support for sustainability and through talking with attendants, I know that your presence has helped change people's perspectives about their lifestyle.
To highlight a few of the amazing exhibits that were present...
The Raw Sugar Cane Juice Bar was a huge hit! They made their message clear that drinking raw cane juice is one of the best ways to take care of yourself and can be used for detoxification. Sugar cane juice is unrefined and has a very low glycemic index, containing hundreds of amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and enzymes, which are essential for your body's functions.
Holistic Chambers USA also made an appearance, representing their many professional members dedicated to holistic, green, sustainable excellence and business. This organization has brought together like-minded individuals to help spread awareness about the holistic and sustainable perspective. If you are interested in becoming a part of this coalition or networking with them, visit their website: HolisticChambersUSA.com

Congrats to our webmaster Ron Gilmore!
Pasadena Weekly has written a cover story featuring our webmaster and creator of the Raw Man and Green Girl
animated series, Ron Gilmore! This is a huge honor and we want to
congradulate Ron on the recognition of his hard work. We all know he
deserves it.
Not
only is this an achievement for Ron, but it also proves that
sustainability is catching on and more people are getting interested in
what it is all about. This is a huge victory for the GLFF and all
like-minded people trying to spread awareness about the green
initiative.

Katie Spotz Rows Across the Atlantic for Clean Drinking Water
At only 22 years old, Katie Spotz has ran 150 miles across the Mojave Desert, biked 3,300 miles across the U.S., and swam 325 miles down the Allegheny River. But that's not enough for her. Her whole life has been dedicated to endurance performance for raising money and awareness for critical issues across the globe.
She has just recently finished braving 30 ft waves and heavy storms throughout her 3 month journey in hopes of raising at least $30,000 for clean drinking water for 1,000 people. She left in January 2010 and has raised well over $50,000 thus far. Read more about her amazing story HERE.
Many thanks to one of our subscribers for helping us spread
awareness about the Green certified Miyako Hybrid Hotel in Torrance,
CA. It is only the 2nd hotel in CA, and the 10th in the U.S. to
receive a "Green Ranking!"
Based on the vision of the designer, much of the hotel is constructed
of recycled material and has proven to be one of the leading structures
of sustainability thus far.
This hotel is a unique blending of Japanese culture and sustainable artwork. Check it out.

Billionaires Pankaj and Radhika Oswal are currently in the process of building their $70 million dream home in Peppermint Grove, Australia. Their home is designed to follow Vaastu Hindu style of architecture and is deeply rooted in their religion.
Unfortunately, this has caused a major dispute between them and the WA construction union. The Oswals have recently banned any consumption of meat on their property during construction for religious reasons, and the union disapproves of the enforcement of the Oswals' religion on them.
There has a been a lot of controversy as of late and both sides do not seem to be giving in. Read the whole story HERE.
