Unfortunately, that is the absolute day we can take submissions so that we can allot enough time for review and preparation for the film festival. To all of you putting the final touches on your masterpieces, we wish all of you continued strength and perseverance.  To those who have already sumbitted, Thank You and congratulations on your completion!

A lot of men seem to think that being vegetarian or vegan means being skinny, weak, and if I dare say it... unmasculine... but I'd like to introduce to all those men, Montréal Canadien forward Georges Laraque!

     This Pro Hockey Player is taking an adamant stance against cruelty and setting an example for athletes everywhere! His decision was highly influenced by political and nutritional reasons.  Read the rest of his story Here!

It's understandable that these stories won't convince you to change your diet on the spot, and meat is certainly hard to turn away after a lifetime of it, but what might be an even more important change is a change of mind.  No one can expect the meat industry to shut down in a week, or even a year. But by realizing that being vegetarian/vegan is not something "weird," "unfashionable," or for the "weak," you might start to see the real meaning behind it all, and a clearer understanding is something everyone needs.

Taking On Traffic to Support A Deal At Copenhagen

WHO:             BREATHE LA and the Green Lifestyle Film Festival  (GLFF) invite everyone to join the Commuter Party on December 11!

WHAT:           Commuter Party for Climate Change – Join the Los Angeles community for one day to carpool, take public transportation, walk or bike to work. The Commuter Party addresses our highest form of emission as a fun and impactful show of support for the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen,        The Copenhagen Summit is from December 7 to 18.  Don’t be alone in the world on your way to work, join the Commuter Party!

Now take one step further and SEAL THE DEAL!  Sign onto www.sealthedeal.org – Calling for a worldwide climate change agreement, which must be ambitious, fair and effective in reducing emissions, while assisting countries as they adapt to the inevitable changes of climate change already taking place.  

Los Angeles is recognized as the smog capitol of the nation.  Auto emissions are our leading source of smog, releasing toxic emissions that exacerbate asthma and other lung diseases, not to mention birth defects and other ailments.  If just under 10% of Los Angeles commuters carpool, that

would take 5,700 metric tons of Carbon out of our air!^[1]
