We are excited to begin our 15th consecutive year welcoming visitors to Black Pine! The 2010 summer season officially kicks off this Saturday, May 1. The sanctuary will be open weekends in May from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., then daily beginning Memorial
Day.
While so many places are increasing their rates, our rates will remain the same! Admission for children ages two and under is free; ages 3-12 $6.00; ages 13-54 $7.00; and seniors age 55 and over are $6.50. Memberships are also available! We will offer staff-guided sanctuary tours lasting 90 minutes to two hours beginning at 11:00 a.m. each day*. Feeding tours, featuring the keepers feeding several of the large mammals including big cats, will be offered beginning at 3:00 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday*

Black Pine featured on Savor Indiana
We are pleased to announce that Black Pine has been selected from among several Noble County businesses and cultural sites to be featured in an upcoming episode of the television series Savor Indiana, slated to air in several Indiana markets this spring and summer.
Local CBS affiliate WANE-TV, channel 15 in Fort Wayne, will air the series on Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Other markets airing the series include Evansville, Indianapolis, South Bend, and Terre Haute. The series is made up of multiple two to three minute segments highlighting county eateries, cultural venues, attractions, and
accommodations.
News broadcasts are also able to air selected segments as part of their community service broadcasting requirements as well, so you may see the Black Pine segment appear on WANE's new weekend news broadcasts as well. Noble County's "Spring Fling Open House" a first
The Noble County Convention and Visitors Bureau has announced Noble County's first-ever Spring Fling Open House, slated to take place this Saturday, May 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Sunday, May 2 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
The event is being billed as an opportunity to "treat yourself to award winning bed and breakfasts, comfy hotels, cool things to see and do, and home cooking on back roads and in quaint downtowns."
Though Black Pine will be charging regular admission rates during the Open House (all proceeds benefit our non-profit mission) several sites in the county will be open free of charge, including: Old Jail Museum in Albion, Stone's Trace Tavern, Orchard Hill Farms, the Mid-American Windmill Museum, Luckey Hospital Museum, and many more!
