Applegate Insulation's new Mr. Insulate! is a premium thermal cotton insulation made of recycled denim that's supplied in batts for easy, comfortable installation in any application now served by fiberglass batts. Installers won't
need to wear a mask, eye protection, or gloves because Mr. Insulate! does not irritate the skin.
Available in R-13, R-19, and R-21 for 2x4 and 2x6 studs, the company claims to achieve higher R-values using less fiber then comparable products. The product's rebound action provides a clean, smooth fit in the wall at 14.75" wide for 16" on center and 22.75' wide for 24" on center framing. Manufactured in Georgia (USA), the batts have a Class A fire rating and contain no harmful chemicals.
