Hello Peterson Families, we hope you had a wonderful weekend!

I want to remind you all, that STAR testing begins tomorrow, May 3rd through May 14th for second through fifth grade. Please be sure your child has a nutritious breakfast, is well rested, and arrives at school each day by 8:45. Students who arrive after 8:55 AM will need to wait in the office until testing is completed in their class for the day. Please leave home a little early and be prompt for school.

This week we have our monthly PTA Meeting scheduled for Thursday evening at 7:00 PM in the Clapp Wing.  During the meeting we will be presenting Honorary Service Awards, so please join us. Refreshments will be served and day care will be provided by the YMCA. 

Our Peterson Skate Party is also this Thursday from 2:00-4:00 at Fountain Valley Skating Rink.  Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to get exercise, hang out with friends, help your class win the ‘Golden Skate’ and support our school. 

It’s still not too late to buy your meal and raffle tickets for our Family Dinner Night “PARTY IN THE USA AT PETERSON” a Community Celebration & Street Fair, scheduled for Friday, May 14th 5:00 to 8:00pm. Dinner will be provided by TK Burger this year and tickets for dinner must be pre-purchased.  No meal tickets will be sold at the event!  So order yours right away! 

We also continue to seek Donations to make Family Dinner Night a success!  Please help support our Family Dinner Night Raffle with any items/services you can provide!  Do you have a home business or something special to sell at Family Dinner Night? You can rent booth space at our Street Fair for just $30, sign-up today if you are interested! If you need any additional information on Family Dinner Night, drop by the office for fliers, or visit the PTA website at www.petersonpta.com. 

5^th Grade families don’t forget to mark you calendars for Middle School Information Night. Sowers fifth grade Parent Information Night is May 17th at 6PM. Dwyer’s fifth grade Information Night is scheduled for May 18th at 7PM.  See you in school!
