Message from the PTA President
It is hard to believe that this school year will be over in a matter of weeks. I wanted to thank Peterson Families for the outstanding PTA support. The success of Peterson school can be attributed to all of you.
Thank you so much for all of your hard work and to bear witness to your passion
was an unexpected perk. We never could have asked for more dedicated volunteers and words cannot express how grateful we are to have you here.
It is a pleasure and a privilege to work with you.

Family Dinner Night
 Wow! What a night! Thank you to TK Burger, the Edison High JV Cheerleaders, the Huntington Beach High School Water Polo Team, our M.C., our performers, the committee and countless volunteers, our vendors and everyone who participated in creating such a fun, memorable evening.
Special tha nks to all of our community donors for the wonderful raffle items. This event would not happen without their support. Also, a special thank you to everyone who donated baked goods for the always popular Cake Walk.

"Fun" Raising Updates
This month’s Family “Fun”Raiser is scheduled for Thursday, May 27th, at Stonefire Grill in Fountain Valley. Be sure to check your children’s backpack’s for the special flier as the date approaches, or you can print your own at: www.petersonpta.com.
Thank you to Round Table and Dippin Dots, our fabulous teachers who came to serve treats at Dippin Dots, and all the families who supported our April Family “Fun”Raiser ! It was a huge success and so fun to see so many families together!
Thank you to Vons and eScrip, and all of you who have registered your preferred cards and credit cards with them! So far they have contributed $1713.23 back to Peterson, and they will continue to do so every time you use your registered cards!

Peterson students would like to take this opportunity to thank Chris Gillen for making the backpack racks for each classroom. This was his Eagle Scout Project. Chris is from Boy Scout Troop 1 in Huntington Beach. He was assisted by members of his troop, including William, Andrew and John Henry Huffman, all former and current Peterson students.
Rubber Ducky Derby At Knott's Soak City
 Who: Knott’s Soak City and the YMCA of Orange County partnered to benefit the YMCA of OC
What: Charitable fund-raising event in benefit of the YMCA of Orange County
When: Saturday, June 26, 2010
Where: Knott’s Soak City Orange County.
Race: Saturday, June 26 – The YMCA are promoting and selling tickets to the event to YMCA members and their families at all child care sites.
· Single duck sponsorship: $5 for each duck-winner need not be present to win.
· Cost: $21.99 ($2 of every sale goes to the YMCA) includes day at soak city and one duck.
Deadline to purchase tickets and/or sponsor a duck will be June 18, 2010
*Every entry will have the chance to win a Knott’s vacation package, Pirate’s Dinner theater tickets, hotel stays from Hyatt Beachfront in Huntington Beach, major sporting events tickets – Kings, Clippers, Angels, movie theater tickets, and many other great prizes. (Sample prizes subject to change)

Fee: $20.00 per person
Fee Includes: child care, refreshments, and 3 winner prizes.
