Two Years Old This Month!

Paul Mitchell Art, Illustration & Murals was formed in December 2007. It's been a remarkable journey, both exciting and exhausting! I have met and done business for a lot of wonderful people and I hope to carry this on to my third year of trading.

Private commissioned work has always been an intriguing part of my overall business, I never know what to expect as each client is totally different. I could do the same landscape or portrait for two different clients and they'd have totally different expectations from the work I undertake.

l have met a lot of great people during my several exhibitions, especially at The Bay Gallery in Herne Bay and during my voluntary work at The Whitstable Improvement Trust. I would like to take this opportunity to dearly thank everyone who have supported me either financially or emotionally over the last two years. Special thanks must go to my mum and my partner, Nicole. It is their belief in my work and my commitment and persistence that help to keep me going!

I am two years down the line and looking towards the challenges and goals in 2010!

Editorial Feature In Herne Bay Times!

I approached the editorial desk of Kent Regional News & Media to see if they would be interested in featuring me and  my business, exhibitions, raising my profile in the community and of course - my exhibition next year in London.  They gladly accepted, and I had this wonderful spotlight on me published.

The interview covers how I got to where I am today with my business and the struggles and help I got along my journey. It also touches on what my plans are for the future and where I'd like to take Paul Mitchell Art, Illustration & Murals!

This is part of the 'My Herne Bay' series which highlights particular people who make a difference to the town and have a story to tell. Thanks to Liz Crudgington for the interview!

( A pdf version of my page in the newspaper will hopefully be in my next newsletter!)
