Tenderloin Self-Help Center's weekly Women's Support Group Kicks off on Thursday, January 31st
 Hospitality House is pleased to announce the start of a weekly support and social group for women at the Tenderloin Self-Help Center. In keeping with our commitment to peer-based services, the group is lead by peer staff and will focus on a variety of topics relevant to women living in the Tenderloin. The group meets Tuesdays on a drop-in basis. For more information contact Jan Couvillon at 415.749.2143.
Meet our supporters: Courtney Derby from San Francisco Federal Credit Union answers our questions San Francisco Federal Credit Union has been an enthusiastic supporter of Hospitality House for years and really demonstrates how socially aware local businesses can create amazing partnerships with non-profit organizations in their community. Hospitality House: Tell us a little about San Francisco Federal Credit Union and the focus of your community outreach and giving. Courtney Derby: We are a not-for-profit financial institution serving those that live and work in San Francisco. We offer the same products/services as the banks, but we have a different philosophy. We are committed to the San Francisco community. Through our CommunityShare Program we give through company donations, employee volunteerism and fundraising activities. HH: What role do your employees play in this outreach? CD: Giving our time is part of company culture. We encourage staff to volunteer at least twice a year at events for our community partners. Last year we had 95% staff participation in the program. HH: Talk to me about the Tenderloin area and what you feel makes it unique.
