Celebrate with us the new "Beyond the Square" PeaceQuilts exhibit at Haley House Bakery Café. PeaceQuilts is a non-profit that creates economic development by establishing and supporting independent women's quilting cooperatives in Haiti. Over 100 women artists are empowered to support themselves and their families by creating handmade quilts, pillow covers, bed scarves, throws, handbags and jewelry. Support these women and PeaceQuilts by coming to the opening reception and purchasing the quilts on display!

BC Volunteers Transform Housing Units
On Saturday, October 26 a group of eight fantastic volunteers from Boston College's 4Boston group came to Haley House's Single Room Occupancy (SRO) housing units in Boston's South End. The group helped spruce up the common areas of our SRO housing, reserved for formerly homeless individuals. Thank you for your incredible work!
BU Group Gives to Community Tables
The Student Food Rescue Group from Boston University generously donated produce from Whole Foods to Haley House's Community Tables, a pay-what-you-can 3-course meal that happens every Saturday at 5:30pm. We are grateful to the BU group, and continue to seek meal ingredient donations, especially fresh poultry and fish. Find out more about Community Tables here!
Thanks to Upham's Elder Service Plan!
Haley House was honored by a generous donation from the Upham's Elder Service Plan/PACE. The group donated proceeds from the sale of their first Cooking Group calendar, choosing to help Haley House continue "using food as a vehicle to ensure financial independence and nourishment for all". Thank you!
