You Get to Make Mistakes
May 3, 2017

       message spring training - Carroll
No one likes to make mistakes,
so it’s easy to forget that
Life is designed in such a way
that every single one of us
will ABSOLUTELY make many mistakes in life.
I’m not just referring to simple typos
or turning left when you meant to turn right.

Businesses will fail and jobs will be lost.
Accidents will happen.
Thoughtless things will be said.
Most of us do things we know we shouldn’t do,
and don’t do the things we know we should.

A toddler falls down many times
before learning to sit up, stand, and walk.
How much more complicated is it to get
marriage, parenting, and friendship right?

That’s where the Love of Spirit comes in.
Winning athletes have coaches,
and children need acknowledgment to thrive.
If you don’t have people around to cheer you on
when you struggle and pick you up when you fall,
you can always find the encouragement you need
from the Inner Guru –
Divine Love doesn’t judge or condemn.
Remember: you are supposed to make mistakes.
That’s part of your birthright as a human being.
