How We Live Now
January 3, 2018
  Eric msg 1
       message how we live now
We live today the same way
that all of our ancestors lived:
by the Grace of the Divine.

Human beings have triumphed
in the battle of “Survival of the Fittest,”
and at a population of over 7 billion,
we are overrunning the planet.
Our technological advances are astounding,
and our scientific knowledge is expanding
at a rate that is difficult to comprehend.

With all the power that humanity has accrued
over our environment,
it is tempting to think that mankind
is the end all and be all of life,
and that we have done it all on our own.

We have been given intelligence,
but it comes from the One Mind.
We have been given life and agency,
but it is bestowed by the Invisible Everlasting.
Long after the sun supernovas
and planet Earth are no more,
on the day that the last human being
draws his or her final breath,
and humanity goes the way of the dinosaurs,
Spirit will still be in charge of the Universe.

We do well to remember who we are, and Whose we are.
When life seems overwhelming,
and you face a personal apocalypse,
remember to turn to the Source of the All Good.
Let this be your prayer:
“Thy Grace is my sufficiency.
God is my all in all.”
